Canon makes great cameras but crappy batteries. My S100 is good for about 40-50 shots as long as I turn-it-on-take-the-picture-and-turn-it-off. Any dilly-dallying trying to frame the shot just so or going back to preview mode to see if it looks good will just take away from precious juice for more pictures.

You may want to invest in an additional battery. I haven't yet, but if I keep this camera much longer (thinkin' 'bout gettin' me a new'un) I'm planning on it. Especially since picking up my 256MB SanDisk CF card which holds like 400 freaking photos. Got my whole 10-day trip to England with the little woman and future mother-in-law on there. Wow!

For my next camera I plan to go no lower than 4.0 (and none of that 'effective' crap where they use software to give you more pixels than you physically have).

Really? Bubba has 3.2, because honestly, I don't think I'm ever going to go over an 8x10. Then again, I know the crowd YOU hang with -- bigger, better, faster, more!
