OMG that was great!!!! Another site I visit A Girl Named Bob did something similar. Someone was stealing bandwidth from her work website (graphic design), so she replaced the photo with a picture of a couple full moons (not the kind in the sky). I know Joelle is having a bad day, and I can't believe someone would try to steal your style sheet. Sheesh people!

Idn't she GREAT? The moons were a good idea, too, though, or like a big hairy wiener or something.

I just translated it to portuguese and changed it to say her name.

"christina julia, you are stealing this image from another site. remove the stylesheet immediately. i do not speak portuguese so forgive my grammar."

Heh. we've had this problem with brazillian women before, oddly. And it's always on Blogger. I'm beginning to wonder if it's the same woman now.

I don't know if she just doesn't understand or what. But the same thing happened to simplygirly.net with one of Kathy's designs.

She keeps making "test" entries because I truly dont' think she understands where it's coming from. I feel all omnipotent and stuff. heh.

Ok, you're all encrypted now, but guess what? she's just gone aheade and stolen your background instead. So, now she's not hotlinking you (I don't think), but it appears she's just come back to your site, stolen your bakground and put it on hers. Because it's the same name I renamed your background so I could change hers.

I left a note in her comments. At this point, nothing can be done, she's just a thief. But i did leave her a note that said it was tacky and then, in hacked Babelfish portuguese, told her that she needs to remove it or I'll report her to Blogger.

It won't work, but whatever.

See, when I go there, all I see is one little peach bar, and that's it. But I'm more than happy to report her.

She's still linking to your stylesheet, but also saved your background like I said above. I've renamed and encrypted your stylesheet now so people can't steal it, and I deleted the one she was hotlinking to, so that should fix her bandwidth issue.

But we can't do much about the image. :( Sorry.

Refresh your browser. Remember you had that problem before. :) I jus shut my browser down and looked again, but yeah, she's still got your background up.

Dude, this girl is seriously just evil. Not only did she come all the way back over here and take your background, she hunted down your stylesheet before I had a chance to encrypt it and she copied it by hand and hand-coded it into her blogger template.

Hey girlfriend, just so you know, there's no need to formerly copyright your work. The U.S. Federal standard for the point at which copyright attachs is the moment at which the original content is fixed in any medium. The law clearly states that no copyright legend is necessary in order to make the work copyrighted in fact.

I hate Internet thiefs, by the way. I use the stupid blogger templates (no offense to anyone who loves them; they're great, just WAY too common) because I don't know how to do anything and wouldn't DREAM of stealing.
